With the introduction of the "F-Gas Regulation EU 517/2014", new flammable refrigerants will be used in the future, for which special requirements in the area of explosion protection, the ATEX requirements and a possible approval requirement for storage, transport and filling the bottling plants must be taken into account.

This new F-gas regulation regulates the gradual phase-out of HFC refrigerants. Companies that supply and process refrigerants and need them for their systems and processes, such as the pharmaceutical industry, manufacturers of heat pumps, air conditioning units, refrigerators, etc. are therefore forced to prepare an appropriate phase-out scenario.
Options include natural refrigerants such as ammonia, CO², propane and propene, as well as synthetic fluids.
Users of such systems must implement the EU F-Gas Regulation. It makes regulations for the gradual "phase down" or "phase out" of the production and use of HFC-containing refrigerants, which are among the causes of the greenhouse effect. Common refrigerants used in industrial refrigeration and deep-freezing systems are also affected.

Since all companies that use refrigerants are confronted with daily problems and questions in the areas of refrigeration machines, heat pumps, air conditioners, refrigerators, centrifuges, defrosters, etc., PA-Salzgitter has specialized in helping potential customers implement the to support legal requirements such as EX protection, ATEX, approval requirements for filling plants, Ex zone plans, risk assessments, etc.

In addition to these services, we have also developed complete plants and systems for decanting and evacuating refrigerants that meet ATEX requirements and can be used in Ex zone 1.

These are for example:

  • Explosion-proof decanting station with redundant suction pump systems for bottles, barrels and containers
  • Mobile explosion-proof suction and evacuation system for service calls
  • Stationary explosion-proof suction and evacuation system for use in production rooms
  • Project planning and consulting services in the area of storage of refrigerants, decanting, transport and filling, taking into account the necessary hazardous area and ATEX requirements
  • Delivery and assembly of complete systems and assemblies as well as pipe laying, control cabinet construction and the necessary electrical engineering

R449A
R452C
R452B
R454C
R454B
R1234yf

Due to our intensive contacts to manufacturers of filling machines, such as the Agramkow company, we can also look for solutions together for your production area in order to take into account the Ex requirements through the use of the new refrigerants for the suction, evacuation and filling systems.

Arrange a non-binding and free consultation with our experts, which can also be carried out at your premises.
